Outstanding Venetian carved and giltwood blackamoor black child with butterfly wings ( cherub or putto) on a dragon or sea serpent or sea monster holding a mirror.
This polychrome wood group probably originated in Venice, Italy in the second half of the 19th century.
The figures rotate on the base and the mirror pivots.
Two middle fingers of the cherub seem to be glued almost invisibly.
Otherwise this is in very good condition.
Dimensions: 25 1/2" high, 20" wide, 11" deep, 12 1/2" diameter of the mirror
